Tooth pain is a miserable experience. No matter what I dod I can't seem to avoid it. My teeth have never been "good", and so they get cavities and get infected easily.

It wouldn't be so bad if I could afford to fix them well, and quickly; but I don't. Plus while I've looked for private personal insurance, I've had no luck finding any taken locally. It's a horrible state.

I've considered at length getting them all knocked out and replaced with dentures, which is not something people my age usually consider, but I do. It too is expensive. If only I could afford it, I'd get it done ASAP.

It would be a huge relief to not hurt anymore in the mouth, even at the expense of the few good teeth I have.

I just wish I could figure out a way to pay for it.

I know how you feel I have the same troubles. Bad teeth run in my family and I seem to have gotten the short end of the stick. I found that if you have an open cavity in a tooth it's not going to last long. Break up a aspirin and place some in the cavity, this will deaden the nerves that are exposed. It may take a few applications. Also using Oil of Cloves helps kill pain better then most things. It's found in the candy flavoring sections of some stores.

Thank you man. The aspirin has helped. No clove oil has turned up at any local stores I've tried, but the agony has diminished.

CCS gave some good advice, especially since I found that things like Orajel rarely did much good for me. I hope the situation improves for you soon, if only to have the funds to get them fixed up.
